Four Months until Katsucon 2013

To start off! Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you are enjoying this awesome night, I am currently doing homework and writing this journal. Woot.

So, it is only four months away, Katsucon 2013 is barreling down on us quickly. I haven't been able to start my construction on my Queen Frostine cosplay due to being in college. My semester has been quite busy and stressful. The amount of research and papers that I am writing this year is insane, but that is to be expected since I am a junior in college. Time has certainly flown by!

However, my sister has been busy at work with her Princess Lolly cosplay. She told me over the phone yesterday that she was dying her fabric. I'm so proud of her!! Our Candyland cosplay group is actually going to be bigger than we originally anticipated! A good friend of mine is going as Grandma Nut and another good friend of mine is going as King Kandy! I am super excited to see him in this costume. I know that we will have an awesome time.

Some people like to act in-character when doing cosplay, what are your opinions?
My sister and I will sometimes say phrases like the characters and act semi-in-character at cons when we feel like it. However, we usually just act like ourselves for the most part. I know some people really like to get into it. What are your opinions everyone?

It will be interesting because we will pretty much have free reign as to how our characters behave (we are cosplaying stationary board game illustrations), I have a feeling we will have a blast with it.

So, how are your cosplay plans going? As of right now here is our tentative lineup for Katsucon 2013 (tentative being the key word!)
