This shot is simply amazing! We met a lovely and extremely talented photographer, she goes by CT Graphy. You can find her on Flickr and Tumblr [link] [link] Also her website: [link]
Construction Details:
The tutu was made by Max and our lovely mother. She is our sewing Sensei There are hand-sewn white sequins around the edges of the white overlay, on some areas on the front of the bodice, and around the top.
The pendant and headpiece were crafted by Liv. The headpiece is made of a white headband base with white feathers hot glued around the band in multiple layers. Two clear hair combs are glued to the inside of the headband--so that it is secured to the wig.
The pendant is made by scrap pieces of wonderflex that were hand-shaped and painted with acrylic paints. The pieces were leftovers from an armor project. (This is actually the super durable less attractive pendant that was created to be very sturdy for Max's Princess Tutu skit that was performed at Otakon 2012: 'Alone in the Dance Room'. We wanted the pendant to stay together in rough conditions).
The crown, which is a little hard to see in the picture, is made out of craft foam painted with gold leaf.
Note: The ahoge is not attached in this picture--we did not have time to dye another feather before the con. It would have also been difficult to wear it because of the wind that day.
ATTENTION: For those who are also wondering, Max is a trained ballet dancer. She dances roughly four to five days a week--this includes pointe work. She knows what she is doing when she goes on pointe.
